Quick Homemade Chocolate
To make a delicious chocolate with nuts, we will start by preparing all the necessary ingredients. Make sure you have 200 ml of milk, 300 g of quality chocolate (you can choose between dark, milk, or white chocolate, depending on your preferences), 150 g of sugar, 100 g of butter, and 150 g of chopped nuts. Also, don't forget the rum essence, which will add an extra layer of flavor and depth.
In a heat-resistant bowl, add the milk, broken chocolate into small pieces, sugar, and butter. Place the bowl in a bain-marie over a pot of boiling water, making sure the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water. On low heat, stir occasionally to prevent the ingredients from sticking. When the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture becomes homogeneous, add the chopped nuts. The rum essence is added at this point, and the mixture gains an irresistible aroma.
After mixing well, remove the bowl from the bain-marie and let it cool for a few minutes. This will allow the mixture to thicken slightly. Prepare a square tray measuring 20 cm x 20 cm, which you can line with plastic wrap or baking paper. Ensure the edges are well covered so that you can easily remove the chocolate once it has set.
Carefully pour the chocolate mixture into the tray, smoothing the surface with a spatula. On top, decorate with a few walnut halves for an attractive appearance. This step is not just cosmetic but also an invitation to taste, as the roasted nuts will provide a crunchy and savory contrast.
After you have finished pouring the chocolate, place the tray in the fridge for a few hours, ideally overnight, so the chocolate sets well. Once it has cooled and attained a firm texture, carefully remove it from the tray. Cut the chocolate into squares, cubes, or bars, according to your preference.
