Stuffed donuts are a delight that brings smiles to the faces of both young and old. This quick and simple dessert can become the star of any meal, whether it’s a birthday party, a family gathering, or just a lazy afternoon at home. In this recipe, I will guide you step by step to achieve delicious, fluffy donuts filled with caramelized fruits, turning any moment into a celebration.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 15-20 minutes
Total time: 50 minutes
Number of servings: 12 donuts

Ingredients:
- 500 g flour
- 200 ml warm milk
- 100 g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 50 g melted butter
- 25 g fresh yeast
- A pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
- 300 g fruit (apples, pears, or peaches) diced
- 50 g sugar for caramelizing the fruit
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting on top

Instructions:

1. Start by activating the yeast. Mix the fresh yeast with 200 ml of warm milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar, letting the mixture sit for 10 minutes until it becomes frothy. This is an essential step that will ensure your donuts are fluffy.

2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, the remaining sugar, and the salt. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and add the eggs, melted butter, and the yeast mixture. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little extra flour.

3. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl, covering it with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place until it doubles in size.

4. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a pan, add the diced fruit and sugar. Caramelize them over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until the sugar melts and the fruit becomes tender. If desired, add cinnamon for extra flavor. Let the filling cool.

5. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to about 1 cm thick. Use a glass or a 8 cm round cutter to cut out discs from the dough.

6. Place a tablespoon of the fruit filling in the center of each dough disc, then fold the dough to form a crescent shape. Press the edges well to seal the donuts.

7. In a deep pan, heat the oil to 180°C. Fry the donuts, 3-4 at a time, for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden. Remove them to paper towels to absorb excess oil.

8. Finally, dust powdered sugar over the warm donuts for an attractive look and sweet taste.

Serving suggestion: Stuffed donuts can be served warm, alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a chocolate sauce, for a delicious contrast of flavors. You can also experiment with various fillings, such as chocolate, fruit jams, or sweet cheese, to adapt the recipe to your preferences.

These stuffed donuts are not only a sweet treat but also a wonderful way to spend time in the kitchen with loved ones. Try this simple and quick recipe and enjoy every fluffy, flavorful bite!
