Imagine a cake that combines delicate textures, refined flavors, and an elegant appearance. This two cream cake is not just a recipe, but a story full of taste rooted in rich culinary traditions. Perfect for celebrating a special day or simply to pamper the family, this cake will bring a touch of sophistication to your table.

Preparation time: 30 minutes
Baking time: 30 minutes
Cooling time: 1 hour
Total time: 2 hours
Servings: 12

Ingredients:

For the base:
- 6 tablespoons of flour
- 6 eggs
- 250 g sugar (or 200 g, to taste)
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda extinguished with vinegar

For the creams:
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 250 g sugar (or 200 g, if you prefer a less sweet taste)
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 package of margarine for baking
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- 100 g coconut
- 3 packages of Piknik biscuits

Preparation:

1. Preparing the base:
- Start by separating the yolks from the whites. In a large bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar until they become a fluffy, light-colored cream. This is the sweet base of the cake.
- Add the cocoa, flour, and baking soda extinguished with vinegar. Mix well until the composition becomes homogeneous.
- In another bowl, beat the egg whites until you obtain a firm foam. These will add air and texture to your base.
- Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the yolk mixture using a spatula, being careful not to deflate the foam.
- Pour the composition into a greased and flour-dusted baking pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes or until the base is firm to the touch and passes the toothpick test.

2. Preparing the creams:
- Meanwhile, prepare the two creams. In a saucepan, mix the beaten eggs, flour, milk, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil over a double boiler, stirring constantly until it thickens. This is an important step to achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
- Once the cream has thickened, let it cool slightly, then add the whipped margarine. Mix well until the composition becomes homogeneous.
- Divide the cream into two equal parts. In one of them, add the two tablespoons of cocoa, and in the other, the coconut. Mix well to blend the flavors.

3. Assembling the cake:
- Once the base has completely cooled, turn it onto a serving platter. Spread the coconut cream evenly over the surface of the base.
- Sprinkle the Piknik biscuits with sugar water (or vanilla essence) to lightly soak them, then place them over the coconut cream.
- Add the cocoa cream on top of the biscuits and level it with a spatula.
- Sprinkle coconut on top for an attractive final appearance and irresistible aroma.

4. Cooling:
- Cover the cake with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour to set and allow the flavors to combine.

Practical tips:
- Toothpick test: Check the base with a toothpick; if it comes out clean, the base is ready.
- Biscuits: You can also use other biscuits, but Piknik ones are special due to their soft texture and delicious taste.
- Flavor variations: Experiment with added orange essences or flavors in the creams for a refreshing citrus note.

Ideal combinations:
To complement the meal, this cake pairs wonderfully with a cup of aromatic tea or freshly brewed coffee. Additionally, a scoop of vanilla ice cream will add a refreshing contrast to the sweetness of the cake.

Nutritional benefits:
This cake offers a balance between carbohydrates and fats, thanks to its ingredients. Eggs are an excellent source of protein, and coconut adds fiber and healthy fats. However, consume in moderation, considering the sugar content.

Frequently asked questions:
- Can I use butter instead of margarine? Of course! Butter provides a richer flavor to the cake, but make sure it is well incorporated into the cream.
- How can I make the cake less sweet? Reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe and use high-quality cocoa for a deeper flavor.

This two cream cake will quickly become a favorite in your family, bringing joy in every slice. Don’t hesitate to experiment with various combinations and adapt it to your personal tastes! Cooking is an art, and every recipe is an opportunity to create delicious memories. Enjoy your cooking!
