Discover the pleasure of a simple and quick dessert recipe: cookie balls, a delicious treat that will delight your taste buds. This dessert, perfect for any occasion, combines cookies with an intense and creamy flavor, and the coconut coating adds a crunchy note. Here’s how to prepare these delights step by step!
Ingredients:
- 1 kg plain cookies (we recommend digestive biscuits for a finer texture)
- 1 l milk
- 1 pack margarine (you can also use butter for a richer taste)
- 200 g sugar
- 50 g cocoa (choose high-quality cocoa for an intense flavor)
- 2 packs vanilla sugar
- 100 ml brewed and cooled coffee (optional, but recommended for added flavor)
- 2 bottles of rum essence
- Grated coconut, for rolling the balls
Instructions:
1. Grinding the cookies: Start by grinding the plain cookies. You can use a food processor to achieve a fine texture. If you don’t have a processor, place the cookies in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. This will be the delicious base of your balls.
2. Preparing the mixture: In a pot, pour 1 liter of milk and add the margarine, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Place the pot over medium heat and stir constantly until the margarine and sugar dissolve completely. It’s important not to let the milk boil too hard, so watch it closely.
3. Adding cocoa: Once the mixture reaches the desired temperature, add the cocoa and mix well to avoid lumps. The mixture should become smooth and creamy.
4. Pouring over cookies: When the mixture is hot, pour it over the ground cookies and gently mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until the cookies are fully incorporated and you no longer see dry pieces.
5. Adding coffee and rum essence: Let the mixture cool slightly, then add the brewed and cooled coffee, as well as the rum essence. These ingredients will add a special flavor to your balls, transforming a simple dessert into an unforgettable experience.
6. Forming the balls: Once the mixture has completely cooled, take a portion of the mix and form balls the size of a walnut. Make sure to shape them well so they don’t crumble.
7. Rolling in coconut: Once you have formed all the balls, place the grated coconut in a bowl. Roll each ball in the coconut, making sure it is evenly coated.
8. Final chilling: Arrange the balls on a tray and leave them in the fridge for at least an hour to set.

Serve the cookie balls as a delicious dessert at a party or as a sweet snack during the day. You can also experiment with different flavors by adding a splash of almond essence or extra cocoa to the mixture.
