Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 40 minutes
Total time: 60 minutes
Number of servings: 8
Ingredients:
- 200 g margarine (or butter) at room temperature
- 200 g sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 300 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder (approximately 10 g)
- 300 g apples (approximately 2-3 large apples)
- 150 g pineapple yogurt (or other flavored yogurt, to taste)
- A pinch of salt
- Cinnamon (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions:
1. Preparing the ingredients: Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature. This step is essential for achieving a uniform texture in the batter. Wash and peel the apples, then cut them into small cubes to integrate perfectly into the cake.
2. Beating the margarine and sugar: In a large bowl, add the margarine and sugar. Use an electric mixer to combine them until you achieve a fluffy, light-colored cream. This step will help incorporate air into the batter, making the cake fluffier.
3. Adding the eggs: Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each addition. Ensure that each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. The batter should become smooth and shiny.
4. Incorporating the dry ingredients: In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the margarine and egg mixture, alternating with the pineapple yogurt. Mix gently on low speed to avoid lumps.
5. Adding the apples: Once you have a smooth batter, add the apple cubes and, if desired, a little cinnamon to enhance the flavor. Mix with a spatula, being careful not to crush the apples.
6. Baking the cake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking pan with margarine or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and level it evenly. Bake the cake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Cooling and serving: Once the cake is ready, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a rack to cool completely. You can serve the cake plain or dusted with powdered sugar, alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delicious contrast.
Possible variations: You can experiment with different types of yogurt, such as Greek yogurt for a richer texture or berry-flavored yogurt for a different taste. You can also add chopped nuts or raisins to the batter for extra texture and flavor.
This apple and pineapple yogurt cake is not only easy to make but also versatile, allowing you to adapt it to your tastes. Enjoy every slice and savor the delicious combination of flavors!
Ingredients: Ingredients: 3 medium eggs, 114 g margarine, 250 g pineapple yogurt, about 6 tablespoons of sugar (I added more to taste so it wouldn't be too sweet), essences, 3 apples (I used golden), 1 and a half teaspoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 and a half cups of white flour (be careful about the cup you use; I had a large whiskey glass, so it's about 2 smaller ones).
