The winter cake with chocolate cream and orange cream is a delicacy that brings a touch of magic to any celebration. This easy-to-follow recipe will transform your festive gatherings into a true feast of flavors.

Ingredients:
For the cake base:
- 6 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 150 g flour
- 50 g cocoa
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 50 ml oil
- 1 pinch of salt

For the chocolate cream:
- 300 g dark chocolate
- 400 ml whipping cream
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla

For the orange cream:
- 300 ml whipping cream
- 150 g mascarpone
- 100 g powdered sugar
- Juice and zest from 2 oranges

For decoration:
- Chocolate flakes or candied fruits

Preparation:
Start by preparing the cake base. Preheat the oven to 180°C. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture becomes fluffy and light in color. Add the oil and mix well. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the egg mixture, gently mixing to avoid losing volume. Pour the obtained batter into a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check with a toothpick if it is baked. Let the base cool.

Meanwhile, you can prepare the chocolate cream. In a saucepan, heat the whipping cream until just about to boil, then pour it over the broken chocolate pieces. Stir until the chocolate completely melts and the mixture becomes homogeneous. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing again. Let the cream cool, then whip part of the whipping cream until it thickens and incorporate it into the chocolate.

For the orange cream, whip the whipping cream until it becomes firm. In another bowl, combine the mascarpone with the powdered sugar, juice, and zest of the orange. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.

Assemble the cake: cut the base into two or three layers. Place a layer of chocolate cream, then a layer of orange cream, continuing this way until the last layer. Refrigerate the cake for a few hours so that the flavors blend perfectly.

Finally, decorate the cake with chocolate flakes or candied fruits and enjoy a delicious slice with your loved ones. The winter cake with chocolate cream and orange cream is definitely an excellent choice to bring smiles to the faces of those you love.

PREPARING THE MERINGUE BASE Beat the egg whites with powdered sugar and 3-4 drops of lemon juice, as for any meringue. The resulting foam is placed in a 26 cm diameter cake pan lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle walnuts and raisins on top and bake for three and a half hours at 100°C. The base should dry out without browning. PREPARING THE CAKE LAYERS: Beat the egg with the egg white and sugar very well until bubbles form. Then add the orange juice, oil, and flour, previously mixed with baking powder. Half of the mixture is placed in a 26 cm cake pan, also lined with parchment paper, and baked in a preheated oven at 180°C for 8-10 minutes. Remove the cake layer from the oven, take it out of the pan, peel off the paper from the bottom, and let it cool. PREPARING THE MOUSSE CREAM: Heat half of the whipped cream, add broken chocolate pieces, and mix until melted, but do not boil. Let it cool for a very short time so it doesn't get too hot, then add gelatin that has been soaked in cold water for 10 minutes. After cooling, mix it with the other half of the whipped cream, whipped this time. Mix until a homogeneous cream is obtained. Place a cake ring around the first layer, add the chocolate mousse cream... then place the second layer on top. Remove the ring and... refrigerate while preparing the orange cream. PREPARING THE ORANGE CREAM: Whipped cream is beaten well with powdered sugar and stabilizer. Mascarpone cheese is mixed with sugar until dissolved. The two mixtures are combined. Add the zest and pulp of the oranges, filleted and peeled. Soak the gelatin in cold water for 10 minutes, then dissolve it over low heat in the citrus juice. Cool and add it to the orange cream and... mix all the ingredients. Place the orange cream over the layer and cover the sides of the cake with cream and... let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours. Then place the meringue layer on top, dust with sugar, and optionally decorate the edges with whipped cream, not specified in the ingredients. It is recommended to cut this cake with an electric knife. The Winter cake recipe was proposed by Gabi Cara on the culinary forum. Serve the Winter cake on any festive occasion.
