Fruit Cocktail (Slightly Alcoholic)
Ingredients: For 3-4 people 2 slices of cantaloupe 1 peach 3 apricots juice from 1/2 lemon 2 tablespoons of sugar 2-3 tablespoons of Limoncello (Italian lemon liqueur) or another liqueur ice decoration fruits
Apricots and peaches, these delicious and fragrant fruits, are a true summer pleasure. We start by washing them with cold water, making sure to remove any impurities. After rinsing them well, we take care of cleaning them. The peach, with its slightly fuzzy skin, will be peeled with a sharp knife, making sure to remove everything we don't want. This will make it softer and easier to chew in our cocktail. As for the apricots, we leave them with their skin on, as it adds extra texture and a slight bitter taste that perfectly contrasts with the sweetness of the fruit.
After cutting the peach into small pieces, it's time to take care of the apricots. We cut them in half, removing the pits, and divide them into convenient pieces for blending. The watermelon, the refreshing fruit that perfectly complements this combination, is peeled and cut into cubes. Its sweet and juicy flavor will blend harmoniously with the other ingredients, bringing a note of freshness.
In a blender, we gather all these delicious fruits: apricots, peaches, and watermelon. We add sugar, which will enhance the natural sweetness of the fruits, as well as lemon juice, essential to provide an acidic contrast and balance the flavors. We blend everything at high speed until we achieve a smooth and creamy mixture. This is the base of our cocktail, full of vitamins and antioxidants, perfect for hot summer days.
After obtaining the desired blend, we add the liqueur, which will bring a sophisticated note and transform this drink into a special cocktail. Choose a fruit liqueur that complements the cocktail's flavors, such as a peach or apricot liqueur, to intensify the taste. Finally, we can add a little crushed ice, as preferred, to chill the drink and give it a pleasant texture. We blend again for a few seconds until the ice is well integrated into the mixture.
The fruit cocktail is now ready to be served! Pour it into chilled glasses and garnish with a slice of peach or a few watermelon cubes on the rim of the glass. This drink is not just a visual delight, but also a treat for the taste buds, bringing a splash of sunshine and joy in every sip. Enjoy it with friends on a warm afternoon, and relish the natural flavors and energy it provides!
