Number of servings: 8
Who doesn't love a creamy dessert with coffee flavor and a splash of rum? Tiramisu is the perfect dessert for any occasion, whether it's a family dinner or a party with friends. This quick tiramisu recipe promises a delicious result without requiring advanced cooking skills. Let's get started!
Ingredients:
- 1 medium package of ladyfingers (approximately 200 g)
- 8-10 sachets of instant coffee (or instant coffee)
- 10 ml of rum (for an extra flavor)
- 1 packet of vanilla (100 g)
- 2 containers of mascarpone (approximately 500 g)
- 1 medium container of liquid cream (approximately 200 ml)
- 4 eggs (fresh and of good quality)
- 2 teaspoons of powdered sugar
- Liquid chocolate (like topping) for decoration
- Dragees flakes (optional, for a playful finishing)
Step by step:
1. Preparing the coffee: In a bowl, dissolve 8-10 sachets of instant coffee in 200 ml of warm water. Add the rum to enhance the flavor. Let it cool.
2. Mascarpone cream: In another bowl, separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks with the powdered sugar and the packet of vanilla until you get a smooth and light-colored cream. Gradually add the mascarpone, mixing with a spatula to avoid lumps.
3. Beating the egg whites: In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until you get a firm foam. Gently fold the egg white foam into the mascarpone cream, using slow up-and-down movements to retain the air in the mixture. Then, add the liquid cream and mix gently.
4. Assembling the tiramisu: In a deep container (or in a baking dish), quickly dip each ladyfinger in the cooled coffee, being careful not to soak them too long so they don't become soggy. Arrange a uniform layer of ladyfingers at the bottom of the container.
5. Cream layer: Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the first layer of ladyfingers. Continue with another layer of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and then add the remaining cream, smoothing the surface well.
6. Cooling: Cover the container with plastic wrap and let the tiramisu chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but ideally, leave it overnight. This cooling time allows the flavors to blend perfectly.
7. Serving: Before serving, melt the chocolate and use it to decorate the tiramisu. You can also add dragees flakes for a more cheerful look. Cut into servings and enjoy!
Useful suggestions:
- You can replace the rum with another type of alcohol, such as amaretto, for a different flavor.
- If you want an alcohol-free tiramisu, omit the rum and use rum essence to keep the flavors.
- Experiment with different types of coffee, such as espresso, for a more intense taste.
This quick tiramisu will surely become a favorite recipe in your culinary repertoire! Enjoy every serving and delight in the compliments from your loved ones.
