Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 2 hours
Total time: 2 hours and 30 minutes
Number of servings: 8-10 servings

Necessary ingredients:
- 2 kg turkey breast
- 400 g smoked turkey roll
- 4 large onions
- 2 tablespoons of salt (or to taste)
- 3 cabbages (two large and one smaller)
- 500 g tomato paste
- 2 cups of rice
- Pepper (to taste)
- 150 ml oil (preferably rice oil)
- Optional: dill or thyme (for added flavor)
- Optional: hot pepper (pepper paste) for a spicy taste

Ingredient tips:
- Turkey breast: It is a lean meat, rich in protein and low in fat, making it a healthy choice. Make sure it is fresh, and if you have the chance, choose organic meat.
- Smoked roll: This will add a deep flavor and a slight smoky aroma to the rolls. If you want a vegetarian option, you can opt for a combination of mushrooms and nuts.
- Cabbage: Choose cabbages with firm, green, and crunchy leaves. The inner leaves are more tender, so feel free to use them.
- Rice: Use long-grain rice that keeps its shape during cooking. Wash it well before use to remove excess starch.

Preparing the rolls:

1. Preparing the ingredients: Start by finely chopping the onion. Use a sharp knife or a food processor to make this process quicker. Then, chop the smoked turkey roll into small cubes.

2. Meat mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped turkey breast, smoked turkey roll, onion, washed and drained rice, tomato paste (save some for topping), and season with salt and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

3. Preparing the cabbage: Remove the outer leaves from the cabbages and cut them into large pieces. Use some of the cabbage to line the bottom of the pot in which you will cook the rolls.

4. Rolling the rolls: Take a cabbage leaf and place a tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center. Fold the edges of the leaf inward and then roll it tightly. Repeat this process for all leaves and the meat mixture.

5. Arranging in the pot: In the pot where you will cook the rolls (preferably a Zepter pot), place a layer of chopped cabbage at the bottom. Then, arrange the rolls in layers, making sure to place them seam-side down. Cover the rolls with another layer of cabbage and add a few tablespoons of tomato paste on top.

6. Cooking the rolls: Add water to the pot so that it covers the rolls. Cover the pot with a lid and put it on medium heat. Let it simmer for about 2 hours. Check the water level periodically and add if necessary.

7. Finishing cooking: After two hours, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Transfer the rolls to a Jena dish and let them bake in the oven for 30 minutes, to brown slightly on top.

Serving the rolls:
Once the rolls are ready, you can serve them with warm polenta and a tasty salad of horseradish and beetroot. If you like a bit of spice, feel free to add a bit of hot pepper paste to your plate.

Possible variations:
- You can replace the turkey breast with chicken or pork for a different taste.
- Experiment with adding some black olives or nuts to the meat mixture for an explosion of flavors.
- If you want a vegetarian option, use finely chopped vegetables, mushrooms, and tofu.

Nutrition and calorie information:
A serving of turkey rolls has approximately 350-400 calories, depending on the serving size and the ingredients used. They are rich in protein, B vitamins, and minerals, making them a healthy choice for a balanced meal.

Frequently asked questions:
