Brownie with Cheese
We start with a delicious chocolate cake and cream cheese recipe, a perfect dessert for any occasion that is sure to impress everyone. The first step is to prepare the cream cheese, as it requires some time to cool. In a bowl, we mix 250 g of cottage cheese, 100 g of sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence, and 100 g of sour cream. We ensure a smooth and creamy consistency by mixing well with a mixer or spatula. Once the cream is ready, we cover it with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge to set and develop its flavors while we prepare the cake base.
For the base, we start by melting 200 g of high-quality dark chocolate together with 100 g of butter using the bain-marie method. We ensure that the water in the pot does not touch the bottom of the bowl containing the chocolate to prevent it from burning. Once the chocolate and butter are completely melted and the mixture becomes smooth, we remove the bowl from the heat and let it cool slightly.
Meanwhile, in another bowl, we beat 3 eggs with 150 g of sugar for 3-5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy and doubles in volume. This will help achieve a fluffy texture. Once the chocolate has cooled slightly, we add the beaten eggs and gently mix with a spatula, being careful not to lose the air in the mixture.
After incorporating the eggs into the chocolate, we add 100 g of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt. We mix gently until the ingredients are fully incorporated, but we avoid over-mixing. We prepare a baking tray, which we line with either butter and flour or butter and parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Now, we pour the batter into the tray and, using a spoon, add dollops of cream cheese here and there to create a marbled effect. We use a knife or a toothpick to gently swirl the cream cheese into the batter, creating an artistic pattern. We preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and place the cake in for about 30 minutes. It is important not to leave it longer, as the risk of drying out increases. Even if it seems slightly moist when tested with a toothpick, we must remove it on time, as it will continue to bake a little while cooling. If you've left it for 40 minutes, check constantly, as every oven is different. Once the cake has cooled, we can cut and serve it, enjoying each delicious slice!
