Salmon with Tartar Sauce (American Version)

Ingredients: tartar sauce (modified American version) 3 heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise (thick) 1 finely chopped pickled cucumber 1 finely chopped green onion finely chopped fresh parsley (to taste) + extra for garnish 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar (I used red) 2 teaspoons of pickle juice pepper, salt to taste 6-7 finely chopped tarragon leaves (I forgot to include them in the picture) 8 pieces of salmon fillet (without bones and skin) - 2 pieces are considered one serving dill, salt, pepper to taste 3 teaspoons of lemon juice a little butter for greasing the pan

To prepare a delicious and sophisticated meal, start by making the mayonnaise sauce that will perfectly complement the salmon. The mayonnaise should be very thick, so use a mixer or a whisk to achieve a firm texture. The mayonnaise is made with quality oil, fresh eggs, mustard, and a drop of vinegar to give it a more intense flavor. Once you have a consistent mayonnaise, finely chop the other ingredients you want in the sauce, such as green onions, fresh dill, or olives. Add these chopped ingredients to the mayonnaise and mix well to combine. Then, add the necessary liquids, which include brine (a type of cabbage juice) and vinegar, to taste. Mix again, then season with salt and pepper, being careful not to overdo it. After finishing the sauce, cover it with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30-60 minutes so that the flavors meld and become more intense.

In the meantime, prepare the salmon. If you have a large piece, cut it into individual portions. Check carefully for any bones or skin, then rinse the fish pieces well under a gentle stream of cold water. Once the salmon is clean, take a baking dish and lightly grease it with butter to prevent the fish from sticking. Carefully place the salmon pieces in the dish, leaving space between them. Sprinkle salt and pepper on each piece, then drizzle them with fresh lemon juice, which will add a touch of freshness. If desired, you can also add a little white wine for extra flavor, although this is optional. Sprinkle dried dill on top, which will provide a special taste and pleasant aroma.

Place the dish in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius and let the salmon bake for 15-20 minutes, until it is juicy and flakes easily with a fork. Meanwhile, prepare some country-style potatoes that will perfectly complement the meal. Boil the potatoes in salted water until they are almost done, then drain them well. Roll them in olive oil, add crushed garlic, and fresh or dried dill. These crispy, golden potatoes will provide a delicious contrast to the tender salmon and creamy sauce. When all the dishes are ready, serve them together, and your guests will surely be impressed!
