I can't forget the first time I tried to make bulz. I was in a hurry, I think I had guests or something, and I just threw everything together. Half of it stuck to the tray, another quarter fell on the floor when I tried to take it out, but the taste... The taste was exactly what I wanted. Since then, I keep improvising, sometimes adding more cheese, sometimes changing the meat, sometimes skipping the butter (which is bad, but it happens, sometimes I don't have butter at home). I think it's one of the simplest things you can make from leftover polenta, but it always has a festive touch, you know? Like a serious snack, not just a simple "recycling."

We fry the sausages and the kaiser or the bacon cut into pieces and let them cool. We grate the cold polenta. We grate the telemea cheese. We cut the butter into pieces. We divide the polenta into 4 pieces the size of a fist. We take a piece in hand, put in the butter, cheese, bacon, and sausages, and form a ball. We grease the molds with butter and place the stuffed polenta pieces. If we have leftover pieces of sausages, bacon, or cheese, we put them on top. We bake for 30 minutes or until the appetizer is nicely browned. If we serve it for breakfast, we also put a fried egg on top... mmmmm!

Ingredients: cold polenta (one plate) kaiser or country ham (5 slices) traditional smoked sausages (2 pieces) telemea cheese (150 g) one tablespoon of butter
